Mauritius: UN reintegrates the Chagos archipelago into the Mauritian fold

On February 20, 2020, when all eyes were fixed on the advancement of the Covid-19 pandemic, the Chagos archipelago again became the property of Mauritius. The UN has changed its world maps and under the name of the archipelago is now listed Mauritius.

The appearance of Mauritius under the name of: Chagos archipelago (as L'Express de Maurice en une) writes on the world map published by the UN on February 20, 2020, is a thunderclap. It was hoped, it is now official. It is not a simple writing game, it is a form of recognition from the United Nations. Pravind Jugnauth, Prime Minister of Mauritius, spoke on National television at the start of the evening of this Monday, May 25, 2020.
