Biodiversity in danger: what economic response?

The collapse of biodiversity is final, in France and in the world, and protection policies have had disappointing results. In this new Note from the CAE, Dominique Bureau, Jean ‐ Christophe Bureau and Katheline Schubert rely on the most recent diagnoses to propose an economic approach integrating the production of value from biodiversity and effective regulatory and fiscal intervention instruments.

Covid-19 to invest in development actions favorable to biodiversity and generating co-benefits, and to be based on a more unified national strategy and declined to different territorial levels.

This Note was presented to the offices of the President of the Republic, the Prime Minister, the Minister of Economy and Finance, the Minister of Ecological Transition and the Secretary of State in charge of biodiversity on 3, 4 and September 8.
