IFA MAURITIUS - DIGITAL ECONOMY: No consensus on taxing the digital economy

The digitization of the economy has brought many benefits to individuals and businesses, but tax authorities in developed countries have been on the lookout for several years to tax this new industry and all companies operating on digital platforms. However, the taxation of digital activities that generate profits is a major task. "The complexity of the taxation of digital activities comes back like a leitmotif", observes Rajesh Ramloll, president of IFA Mauritius.
